star crossed link roundup

This is a quick dump of links, pictures, and videos from Star Crossed 2006 in Seattle on Saturday night. I went down, raced hard, wound up Star-Cross-Eyed, and had a great time.





Managed to snap a few cameraphone pics, two movies, and didn't get entangled in the beer garden (either before, during, or after the race). Kudos to Terry Buchanan for putting on a great race.



The beer garden was in full effect at that point.



The ramp was a bit crazy.

Notable EV results: Kevin Thorpe of dEVo wins the Jr Men B race, slaying the competition and winding up with two podium girls on either arm. Other EV riders who came down for the trip: Bob Chew, Jason Thompson, Raffi Titizian, Jak New and Stephen Cork. Corky cheered, but didn't race. BC boys & girls also included Brad Collins (BSP - podium in the Master's B race), Kelly Jones (Sugoi), Wendy Simms (Kona - winner Elite Women), Meshkat (Mighty Riders), Brian Griffin, a Floro-Glo guy, Chris Reid, Sarah (Wedgewood), Rob Britton (Gigabike - 10th Elite Men) and Kevin Noiles (Masi Adobe). A pretty good turnout.

No results posted yet. I'm keeping an eye on the Star Crossed website. I think I came 11th in the Men's B race. Although not entirely sure about that. It was hard. Fun, but hard.
