while today marks a significant milestone for myself, i happen to share it with the greatest cyclist of all times, who, at the age i turned today at the peak of his career, had no idea i was born half a world away. happy 60th birthday eddy merckx. i'll hoist a belgian beer to you.

Holy Moly. Born 30 years to the day after Merckx? That's about as good an omen as a bike racer could have, except maybe a natural 52% hematocrit or an LT of 85% of VO2 max...
